HB-Superfinishing:
The surface roughness after HB-superfinishing will be less than Ra0.1μm from Ra6.3μm.
The skin hardness increases depending on the initial hardness by 5,10,50,150 %.
The fatigue strength increases by 10,20,50,200 %.
The surface bearing extends up to 80–90 %.
In principle, HB-superfinishing technology excludes the necessity of using of abrasive in any of its combinations –
discs, bands, pastes etc.
The residual stresses are converted into the compressive stresses.
